Act Now to Stop War & End Racism
The
A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition formed on September 14, 2001. It is a coalition of
hundreds of organizations and prominent individuals and scores of organizing
centers in cities and towns across the country. Its national steering
committee represents major national organizations that have campaigned
against U.S. intervention in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East
and Asia, and organizations that have campaigned for civil rights and for
social and economic justice for working and poor people inside the United
States.

Anti-War.com
Anti-War.com
is devoted to the cause of non-interventionism and is read by libertarians,
pacifists, leftists, "greens," and independents alike, as well as many on
the Right who agree with our opposition to imperialism. Our initial project
was to fight for the case of non-intervention in the Balkans under the
Clinton presidency and continued with the case against the campaigns in
Haiti, Kosovo and the bombings of Sudan and Afghanistan. Our politics are
libertarian: our opposition to war is rooted in Randolph Bourne's concept
that "War is the health of the State." With every war, America has made a
"great leap" into statism, and as Bourne emphasizes: " . . . it is during
war that one best understands the nature of that institution [the State]."
At its core, that "nature" includes the ever-increasing threat to individual
liberty and the centralization of political power.
Antiwar.com is one project of our parent foundation the "Randolph Bourne
Institute." It is a program that provides a sounding board of interest to
all who are concerned about US foreign policy and its implications.

Anti-War Songs - Free
Anti war related, mostly English language songs
from many protest music genres, most with clips, covers, albums, writers and
links to lyrics and/or audio downloads. Songs newly written or remixed for
the 2003 attack on Iraq as well as timeless classics are among this
comprehensive, yet growing, list. All of these should serve us well for the
promised "war that will not end in our lifetimes" or at least until the next
election.

Nonviolence.Org
Nonviolence.Org is an entirely virtual new media organization. It was
started by one person—- Martin Kelley—-in his home office in 1995.
Nonviolence.org has won accolades and attention from the mainstream media
but has remained largely invisible to progressive foundations and much of
the old peace movement. Nonviolence.org continues without any funding,
attracting a larger audience every year.

is a network of organizations and individuals whose goal is the end of US
military intervention abroad and attacks on our basic freedoms here. We
have formed both due to the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and because
the US Federal Government has since proceeded to commit acts of terrorism in
Afghanistan and Iraq under the guise of eliminating ALL terrorism.
DAWN meetings are open to the public and completely democratic giving all
attendees the opportuntiy to participate in general decision making and
discussions around issues involving WAR!

Twin
Cities Anti-War Committee
The
Twin Cities Anti-War Committee began in December 1998, with 13 people who
committed civil disobedience to protest the bombing of Iraq. We educate
ourselves and the community about the injustices of U.S. foreign policy.
The
mission of the Anti-War Committee is to organize a broad-based peace and
social justice movement which stands in solidarity with those communities,
here an abroad, who are unjustly and cruelly affected by U.S. foreign
policies. Our values are manifest in our core principles of
self-determination for all oppressed peoples and countries, and peace
through justice.

Anti-War Web Ring
Anti-War Web Ring consists of sites that feature anti-War themes and
projects. They are linked together using a "navigator" that each member site
adds to his/her pages.
The
Anti-War Web Ring opposes the idea that war solves problems. It is a
collection of Web sites that oppose specific wars, and it is a forum for
people who are curious about pacifism and militarism to learn more about how
war is a cyclical, self-perpetuating phenomenon. Billions of dollars of tax
money go towards the maintenance of this war system, but very little public
money is spent promoting thought about potential alternatives. In fact, each
year, more U.S. federal tax dollars are given to the Pentagon than are
allocated for education. It is hoped that the Anti-War Web Ring will awaken
popular sensibilities and perhaps save the lives of innocent civilians.
